Riverside West Residents Association
Riverside West Residents Association is the independent, resident-led voice for all who live at Riverside West.
We are leaseholders and residents living here - completely independent of the managing agents and freeholder. We meet, ask probing questions, monitor estate operations, and stand together on the issues that affect our collective home and investments across SW18.
There are 531 homes at Riverside West. Between us, we pay a substantial amount in annual service charges, yet most day-to-day decisions affecting our estate, safety, and community are made by external entities who do not live here.
The Riverside West Residents Association (RWRA) exists to give residents an independent, organised voice. Instead of 531 separate complaints being ignored or chased individually, we aggregate our concerns into one clear, legally grounded voice that cannot be disregarded.
What We Do
We take things up collectively on behalf of residents. When an issue impacts a block or the estate as a whole, whether it concerns site security, lift reliability, or cleaning standards, we raise it directly with estate management rather than leaving individual residents to struggle alone.
We ask the tough questions residents cannot easily ask alone. We scrutinise service charge budgets, challenge unjustified expenditure, review insurance premiums, and demand full transparency on decisions taken without proper resident consultation.
We attend, record, and report. We hold regular review meetings with the Managing Agent, maintain written records of commitments made, and report back to the community so there is accountability.
We look into things properly when they matter. On critical matters affecting our safety or property rights, such as building safety compliance (EWS1/cladding), service charge VAT issues, or major works, we investigate thoroughly and instruct professional legal or surveying advice where warranted.
We keep residents informed and connected. Through regular updates, bulletins, and our Annual General Meeting (AGM), every resident has direct access to information and a platform to be heard.

And we possess no magic powers of our own. What we have is strength in numbers, a democratic constitution, and the determination to hold estate management accountable for the standard and cost of our shared home.ajor maintenance contracts to ensure value for money for all leaseholders.
Building and Fire Safety Oversight: Engaging with management on estate-wide safety compliance, lift performance, and communal maintenance schedules.
Riverfront Development and Local Planning: Monitoring local planning applications and council proposals along the SW18/Wandsworth riverfront to defend resident amenities and peaceful enjoyment.
